PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a compression sleeve after compression treatment from being bent when the compression sleeve for connecting an electric wire for transmission and distribution is compressed throughout its total length by using a compression head. SOLUTION: This supporting unit 1 is provided with: a base 2 having linearly-extending guide rails 4; a mounting bucket 3 arranged on the base 2 for mounting the compression head 51 thereto; and a pair of holding members 20a and 20b attached to both ends of the base 2 and holding electric wires 61 and 62 for transmission and distribution inserted into both ends of the compression sleeve 60. The holding members 20a and 20b hold the electric wires 61 and 62 for transmission and distribution to linearly arrange the electric wires 61 and 62 and the compression sleeve 60. The mounting bucket 10 is structured to be movable along the guide rails 4 by rollers 12 and 14 arranged on its bottom surface. When the compression position of the compression sleeve 60 is changed, the compression head 51 is moved in parallel to the extension direction of the compression sleeve 60 by moving the mounting bucket 10 along the guide rails 4.
