A high-speed moving picture processing section (11) in a liquid crystal display comprises a computing section (111) having a plurality of LUTs in which the current frame data and the previous frame data are inputted to acquire an output for performing overshoot drive and a frame memory (112) for storing a video data signal of the previous frame. The computing section (111) determines a video data signal transmitted from a host device as the current frame data and the video data signal read out from the frame memory (112) as the previous frame data and performs data conversion for performing the overshoot drive in each writing period during the same frame period. Furthermore, the LUTs for performing the overshoot drive can be switched over for each writing period.
