An apparatus and a method for correcting image vibration, a method for manufacturing the apparatus, and an image capturing apparatus are provided to avoid a problem that a response of a lens is delayed because a high frequency component of above 50Hz is added to a frequency component of 10Hz or some of vibration generated in capturing an image by a camera mounted on a tripod. When controlling is initiated(S1), a release switch is triggered to transmit an exposure initiation signal to a lens from a lens CPU(S2). The lens CPU measures time at which an exposure initiation signal is received(S3). At a time point at which the time at the exposure initiation signal received exceeds a certain time(T1), a target drive position calculation unit changes a target position gain from 1 to 0 and sets it(S4). Time at a time point is measured and it is checked whether the time is larger than a certain time(T2+T3)(S5). If the time at the time point is larger than the certain time(T2+T3), the target position gain is set to be a general gain 1 and the target drive position calculation unit performs calculation for correcting handshaking(S7).
