<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a discharge lamp (10) composed by improving the stability of attachment and stabilizing the intensity of emitted light, and a light source device (100) having the discharge lamp. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing base (20) for this discharge lamp (10) is provided with: a cylindrical first body (21) having a pair of cutouts (21H); a cylindrical second body (23) having a diameter larger than that of the first body, and having a joint part (23H); and a groove (25) having a diameter equal to or smaller than the distance between the pair of cutouts, and formed between the first and second bodies.
