<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for detecting a position with a configuration suitable to carry. <P>SOLUTION: An information display system 100 comprises an instructing device 10 and a display device 20. The instructing device 10 supplies electric power and information through an exciting coil part 14. The display device 20 comprises a position specifying coil part 21, an electric power extracting coil part 22, an electric power extracting part 23, a communication control part 24, a storage part 25, a display control part 26 and a display part 27. The position specifying coil part 21 comprises a plurality of coils. The position specifying coil part 21 is electromagnetically connected to the exciting coil part 14 and outputs information indicating a connected position. The electric power extracting coil part 22 is electromagnetically connected to the exciting coil part 14 together with the position specifying coil part 21.
