PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for a hermetically sealed compressor that has less noise, by suppressing noise in a high-frequency band that is higher than 1 kHz, in a concentrated winding system. SOLUTION: Vibration at each tooth part 102 depends on the natural vibration of each steel plate, respectively having a different section modulus. Thus, a plurality of slits 104 are provided in parallel in the radial direction of each tooth part 102 in a stator yoke 100 fixed to a compressor shell; each protrusion 105, having the same shape as the cross-section of the slit is provided at a part, corresponding to the slit in an end insulator 103; and each protrusion is inserted into each slit of the stator so that the resonance frequency is shifted toward the low frequency, while dispersing an electromagnetic excitation force, in order to facilitate damping; and vibrations at a high-order frequency of the yoke is damped by viscoelasticity of each resin part so as to suppress a vibration level to a low level.
