A communication terminal is provided to enable a user to directly recognize the callers of received calls or messages without memorizing phone numbers which were updated before by displaying a name in displaying a history even though an associated phone number of an address book has been changed. A communication terminal comprises an application, an address book update unit(1610), and an application information update unit. The application performs certain operations about communication. The address book update unit rewrites the first communication address information, stored in an address book memory part(2000) which memorizes names and communication address information correspondingly, into the second communication address information. In case the first communication address information is rewritten into the second communication address information by the address book update unit, the application information update unit rewrites the first communication address information, memorized in an application information memory part(3000) which stores the communication address information the application refers to, into the second communication address information.
