An electrophoresis display device, a method of driving the same, and an electronic apparatus are provided to reduce power consumption by isolating electrically an electrophoresis element. An electrophoresis display device includes an electrophoresis element(23) between substrates and a display unit having plural pixels. The display unit includes a pixel electrode(21) formed at respective pixels, a counter electrode(22) opposite to the pixel electrode, and first and second control lines(11,12) connected to the pixels. Each of the pixels includes a pixel switching element(24), a memory circuit(25) connected to the pixel switching element, and a switch circuit(35) for switching connection states of the pixel electrode, and the first or second control line by switching according to an output signal of the memory circuit.
