<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute maintenance processing of a database day by day and execute in a fixed cycle without causing any variation in daily processing time. <P>SOLUTION: This database maintenance device is provided with a maintenance object table in which date data for executing the maintenance processing of a corresponding data table and time data required for the maintenance processing are stored so as to be rewritable so that those data can be associated with a plurality of table identification data for identifying each of various data tables. Then, this database maintenance device is configured to retrieve this table, and to acquire table identification data where data matched with the current date data as date data for executing maintenance processing are set, and to execute the maintenance processing of the data table specified by the table identification data, and to update the time data of the data table.
