<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic matter decomposing filter capable of decomposing organic matter with high efficiency using small power, and an organic matter decomposing method. <P>SOLUTION: The organic matter decomposing filter includes an ion exchange layer having water permeability, an electrode composed of an anode and a cathode opposed to each other through the ion exchange layer and a power supply part for supplying power to the electrode. In the organic matter decomposing method, the organic matter is decomposed on the surface of the electrode by allowing a fluid containing the organic matter and water to flow at least through the ion exchange layer and along the surface of the electrode using the organic matter decomposing filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
