<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric ceramic composition which attain excellent specific dielectric constant in a wide temperature range, and an electronic component. <P>SOLUTION: The dielectric ceramic composition has a main component containing BaTiO<SB>3</SB>, a first sub-component containing BaZrO<SB>3</SB>, a second sub-component containing Mg oxide, a third sub-component containing R oxide (R is one or more kinds selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu), a forth sub-component containing oxide of one or more kinds of elements selected from Mn, Cr, Co and Fe and a fifth sub-component containing oxide of one or more kinds of elements selected from Si, Al, Ge, B and Li, wherein at least a part of dielectric particles has a line defect, and the average maximum value of the length of the line defect existing in one particle based on total dielectric particles is in a range of 0.1-0.7 μm and the average value of the total length of the line defect is in a range of 0.5-3 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
