PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a password input system for preventing a password from being decoded or guessed even when a screen or a behavior for inputting a password such as a personal identification number is secretly photographed. SOLUTION: This password input system includes a main body device and terminal device, and the main body device is provided with an association table generation means for generating an association table in which the characters of a first character group are associated with the characters of a second character group; a transmission means for transmitting the association table to the terminal device; a character table display means for displaying the character table of the characters of the second character group; a character input means for inputting the characters displayed at the character table; and a conversion means for converting the input characters of the second character group into the characters of the first character group on the basis of the association table. The terminal equipment is provided with a reception means for receiving the association table transmitted from the main body device and an association table display means for displaying the association table.
