PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that leaving an ink tank as it is for a long time makes an ink component sink and generate thickened ink and cause image quality to degrade. SOLUTION: When stirring an ink tank left for a long time, making a stirring action by a stirring means before an ink channel is defoamed enables ink in the ink tank to be efficiently stirred in a short time.
