PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of detecting a microorganism in a liquid sample, with high reliability and repeatability. SOLUTION: A method for detecting the microorganism in the liquid sample, especially for example, a method for quantitatively or half-quantitatively detecting a cariogenic microorganism such as a specified bacterium in a saliva sample is disclosed. Furthermore, a test strip and a test system using at least two test strips are disclosed. These are suitable for use in the disclosed detecting method.
