PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel leptin secretion promoter which promotes leptin secretion from adipocytes. SOLUTION: Significant leptin secretion has been recognized when resveratrol, a kind of a polyphenol, is allowed to directly act on adipocytes. Especially, leptin secretion both from both adipocytes originated from subcutaneous adipose tissues and from adipocytes originated from visceral adipose tissues has been recognized.
