PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, permanently restraining the generation of slime in a drain pan regardless of a fitting position of a disinfection device. SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes the disinfection device 150 provided with an electrolyzing unit 51 for electrolyzing water to generate electrolytic water and an element 41 for bringing the electrolytic water supplied from the electrolyzing unit 51 into the above air. The disinfection device 150 can be installed in an optional position of a side plate 20a of a casing 20. The disinfection device 150 includes a drain port 46 for discharging the electrolytic water flowing down from the element 41 to the drain pan 24, which is disposed at an end part 200 away from a drain pump 27 on the side plate 20a to which the disinfection device 150 is installed.
