PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control device for a water heater capable of easily setting priority and reducing a load of a control portion. SOLUTION: A bath-side remote control device 10A comprising a priority setting button 13a capable of setting priority to operate a water heater body 20 in preference to a kitchen-side remote control device 20B, and a display portion 12 for displaying prescribed information, and remote-controlling the water heater body 20, further comprises a control portion 11 for displaying the prescribed information on the display portion 12 and setting the priority on the basis of the length of a time of pressing the priority setting button 13a, when the prescribed information is not displayed on the display portion 12 and the priority can be set.
