PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot rest structure for a motorcycle capable of always stably performing jumping up action of the foot rest. SOLUTION: In the foot rest structure for the motorcycle, a base end 1A of the foot rest 1 is upwardly turnably and pivotally supported on a bracket 2 mounted to a side part of a vehicle body by a pin (pivot shaft) 4. On the base end 1A of the foot rest 1 and the bracket 2, stopper parts 1a, 2c for restricting downward turning of the foot rest 1 by engaging them with each other and retaining the foot rest 1 to an approximately horizontal normal position are formed. The cylindrical lower cylinder part 1c concentrical to the pin 4 is formed on an outer periphery of the base end below the stopper part 1a of the foot rest 1. A lower side cover part 2e having a distal end opposed to the lower cylinder part 1c of the foot rest 1 with a fine clearanceδand covering the both stopper parts 1a, 2c from below is provided on the bracket 2.
