A coating head is provided to impart high strength and high processing (shape) precision to the front end surface thereof and to prevent the front end surface from being bent, thereby realizing a high coating precision. A coating head comprises a slit having ejection ports on the front end(23) thereof and ejecting a coating solution from the ejection ports. The front end of the head is surface coated with a coating layer. The coating layer is formed by the coating treatment, wherein powder of a conductive material containing titanium carbide or cBN(Borazon) is press molded and then is optionally heated to provide a finished pressed powder body(26), the pressed powder body electrode is used to generate pulse discharge between the front end of the head and the pressed powder electrode in oil or vapor, and the electrode material of the pressed powder electrode or a reacted material of the electrode material is attached to the front end of the head by the discharge energy. |
