摘要 A catalyst for dehydrochlorination which solves problems of a conventional non-catalytic thermal decomposition technology and has a high decomposition ratio even in case of a short retention time of a reactant is provided, and a method for dehydrochlorination of ethylene dichloride using the catalyst is provided. A catalyst for dehydrochlorination comprises cobalt supported on a support composed of silica or alumina in the amount of 1.5 to 2 wt.% with respect to the total catalyst weight. A catalyst for dehydrochlorination comprises zinc supported on a support composed of silica or alumina in the amount of 2 to 10 wt.% with respect to the total catalyst weight. A catalyst for dehydrochlorination comprises cobalt and zinc which are supported on a support composed of silica or alumina in the amount of 2 to 6 wt.% with respect to the total catalyst weight. The support composed of silica or alumina is zeolite, alumina, silica, amorphous silica-alumina, or mixtures thereof. The zeolite is Y-zeolite, MOR(mordenite), FER(ferrierite), beta type zeolite, ZSM, SAPO, or mixtures thereof. The zeolite is ZSM-5 having an SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio of 20 to 50. The cobalt or zinc is supported on the support by using an ion exchange process or an impregnation process. The cobalt or zinc is supported on the support simultaneously or sequentially.
