DIMENSION MEASURING APPARATUS AND DIMENSION MEASURING METHOD

A dimension measuring apparatus and a dimension measuring method are provided to improve the quality of a vane pump by precisely evaluating the size accuracy of a measurement object. A dimension measuring apparatus comprises a conveying unit(5) conveying a measurement object, a temperature control unit, a dimension measuring unit(15), and a temperature measuring unit(14). The temperature control unit controls temperature in conveyance regions(10,11) whereto the measurement object is conveyed. The dimension measuring unit measures the dimension of the measurement object conveyed to a measurement part in the conveyance regions. The temperature measuring unit measures the temperature of the measurement object during dimension measurement by the dimension measuring unit. The dimension of the measurement object measured by the dimension measuring unit is corrected to a dimension at a reference temperature by using the temperature measured by the temperature measuring unit.
