<p>A cable connector (1) includes a housing (3) and a first contact (4) provided in the housing (3). The first contact (4) includes a first engaging and pivoting unit (4b) opposed to a back surface of the cable (2). The cable connector (1) also includes a second contact (5) which is provided in the housing (3) and which includes a second engaging and pivoting unit (5b) opposed to the back surface of the cable (2). The second engaging and pivoting unit (5b) has a root (5i) which is thicker than that of the first engaging and pivoting unit (4b). The cable connector (1) also includes a cover (6).
