PURPOSE:To allow a selector means to select guide width which can not be detected by a guide and to execute accurate copying by providing the image forming means with a means for moving the guide to a position of paper size to be used and a means for selecting an approximate size different from that displayed on a liquid crystal display in an operation part. CONSTITUTION:In the case of manual insertion, a slider is slided interlocking with a manual insertion guide and connected to respective terminals of a size detecting board to detect paper size in accordance with their combinations. Paper to be copied is set up on the guide, its size is read out by a manual insertion guide detector 4, and when another size is displayed on a liquid crystal display(LCD), a '#' key on a key matrix 5 of the operation part is depressed to switch the size corresponding to the width of the guide. |
