Placed inside cassette (1) is a reel (3) used as ribbon holder. On the reel (3), the excessive length of ribbon (2) is arranged in form of a loop. The pull out and feedback of excessive ribbon length can be carefully determined. The cassette is also able to take continuous uncut ribbon cable reel flanges (3a 3b) are detachable from the reel core.
