<p>A device (10) is provided which provides compensation for alterations in viscosity of liquids dispensed by gravity from containers (12) such as those used in post-mix carbonated beverage dispensing systems. The device has a valve element (22) which collects temporarily the liquid being dispensed and, as a function of the viscosity of the liquid, adjusts the effective size of the discharge opening (14) in the container to compensate for that viscosity.</p> |
