<p>The assembly has an elongated ceramic discharge vessel (2) and a central part (3), which is closed with a capillary (5) at two sides, where the vessel is enclosed by an exterior bulb (4) that is made up of quartz glass, hard glass or Vycor(RTM: Glass with high temperature and thermal shock resistance). An illuminant is placed inside the vessel. The bulb has two ends (6), which are connected directly with the capillary of the discharge vessel over a nose-like notch. The bulb consists of two parts, each extending into a funnel form and exhibiting a funnel-like opening and a collar.</p> |
