摘要 PURPOSE:To supply high quality power economically by supplying DC power, produced by connecting DC side of a converter in series, to the feeder line for electric vehicle and recovering energy through an inverter during regenerative operation. CONSTITUTION:AC power introduced from a high voltage AC bus HBUS through AC circuit breakers 52-1, 52-2, 52-3, 52-4 for transformer and potential transformers 1, 2, 3, 4 is converted through thyristor rectifiers 31a, 31b, 32a, 32b, 33a, 33b, 34a, 34b into DC power. The DC power is then fed through positive pole disconnectors 89P1, 89P2, 89P3, 89P4 to electric vehicles belonging, respectively, to trolley wires TUD, TUU, TDD, TDU. Upon occurrence of short circuit fault on the trolley wire TUD, thyristors in the thyristor rectifiers 31a, 31b are subjected to phase control thus constricting the gates. Consequently, short circuit current can be interrupted quickly before increasing excessively.
