The method involves using a program-controlled robot that places the profile elements (10) on the stripping table with a gripper head (36) and activating the permanent magnet body with the setting tool. It involves placing and positioning a first profile element with the gripper head, fixing one end of the element by activating the permanent magnet, placing the second element with a gap to the first, aligning the first element and simultaneously closing the gap and fixing the second end of the first element to the first end of the second element by activating the permanent magnet.
