An electrodeless lighting apparatus is provided to improve light emitting efficiency of an electrodeless bulb by using frequencies outside an operation frequency region of magnetron to form a resonance mode. An electrodeless lighting apparatus includes a magnetron(30), a waveguide(40), an electrodeless bulb(60), and a resonator(50). The magnetron generates microwaves. The waveguide is coupled with the magnetron. A coupling slot is formed on one side of the waveguide. The microwave is guided from the magnetron to the coupling slot. The electrodeless bulb is arranged at a predetermined height at one side of the waveguide and emits light. The resonator is arranged outside the electrodeless bulb and has an elliptic cross-section. The resonator emits the light from the electrodeless bulb and suppresses a leakage of the microwave.
