A refrigerator system equipped with an automatic water dispenser is provided to perform a main function of the refrigerator regardless of malfunction or erroneous operation of a water dispenser by forming the automatic water dispenser separately from a main board. A refrigerator system equipped with an automatic water dispenser comprises a main board unit, a water dispenser(230), a fluid passage opening/closing device(250), a container/water level checking unit(270), and a display control unit(290). The main board unit performs a refrigerating operation, a freezing operation, a circulating operation, and a door lamp turning on/off operation. The main board unit is installed at a rear surface of a refrigerator to supply power to components of the refrigerator. The main board unit is electrically connected to the display control unit and the fluid passage opening/closing device. The automatic water dispenser includes the container/water level checking unit and the water dispenser. The container/water level checking unit includes an ultrasonic wave sensor unit(271) and a reception/transmission circuit unit(273). The reception/transmission circuit unit is connected to the ultrasonic wave sensor unit of the display control unit. |
