PURPOSE:To provide a fixing device generating no smoke and no fire by a method wherein the fixing device is provided with a control part for use in controlling a power supply turning-off means by receiving an output got by a rotation sensing means and another output got by a light sensing means. CONSTITUTION:A control part 13 receives a light receiving signal from a lamp sensor 12 for use in sensing an emitted light from a lamp 9 and receives a signal of a paper-feed-motor sensor 10 which is a signal of an encoder or the like for sensing that the paper-feed motor 6 is being rotated. ON instruction for a power supply 8 is monitored from a fixing processing device 3, an instruction for rotating the paper-feed motor 6 in respect to a driver 5 from a motor processing device 4 and if there is an abnormal state, an opening or closing device 11 is opened. With such an arrangement, when each of the processing devices is run-away or in an abnormal state, an emitted light from a lamp sensor is monitored, so that it is possible to realize a fixing device having no smoke and no fire. |
