PURPOSE:To attain a fast, rise of cooling and heating operation and perform mild or soft cooling and heating by a method wherein a main air deflector is held at positions where the main air deflector closes and opens the upper part of an air outlet opening of an air conditioner main body, and an air deflector with an opening is held at positions where the air deflector closes and opens a part of the lower part of the air outlet opening. CONSTITUTION:During rise period of cooling and heating operation, a main air deflector 2 and an air deflector 3 with an opening 3a are held at a position where they fit the external form of an air conditioner main body 1 and almost close an air outlet opening 9, so that air is blown only from the opening 3a of the air deflector 3. Therefore, air flow is high in velocity and is blown in the distance, causing the operation to rise fast. When heating is carried out while only the air deflector 3 is turned to provide a small space w3 between the main air deflector 2 and the air deflector 3, warm air mainly blown from the opening 3a becomes high in velocity and is blown in the distance, allowing heating operation to rise fast. After the operation rises, the operation can be changed over to mild normal heating depending upon user's choice. |
