First (50) and second (52) pair of gripping devices on a first pair of gripping pliers are arranged so that, when holding a sack/bag, their inner edges (55) are located closer to the main symmetrical axis (Hs) of the sack/bag than the inner edge (56) of the gripping device of a second pair of gripping devices for catching hold of the sack/bag on the same side of the sack's/bag's main symmetrical axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for filling and sealing sacks/bags.
