An apparatus for gripping an optical fiber cable connecting unit is provided to implement stable optical communication by facilitating field work such as an extension of an optical fiber cable. An apparatus(1) for gripping an optical fiber cable connecting unit(200) includes a body member(10) and a cover unit(30). Optical fiber cables(100) are received at both sides of the body member. The connecting unit is received between the optical fiber cables to connect the optical fiber cables. The cover unit is coupled with the body member to cover the optical fiber cables and the connecting unit. The body member has a connecting unit receiving unit(12) at a center, optical fiber cable paths(14) at both sides, and cable core support protrusions(16) at boundary parts between the connecting unit receiving unit and the optical fiber cable paths.
