An article hanger 100 comprises a body 106 and at least one pair of article gripping members, one of which is a stationary gripping member 200 affixed to and downwardly depending from the body, the other of which is a mobile gripping member 120 translatable in a first direction 218 at an angle to the vertical, in use, and toward the stationary gripping member to fasten the article between the gripping members. At least one of the gripping members has an article support finger 210, 232 extending parallel to the first direction and toward the other gripping member. One of the gripping members has a fastening arm 216 extending in parallel to the first direction toward the other gripping member and having at least one detent 222. The other gripping member has an arm-receiving channel (228, Fig. 2) and a movable pawl (606, Fig. 6) for engaging at least one detent on the fastening arm. A lever 264 is operatively connected to the pawl for selectively disengaging it from the at least one detent. The hanger may be injection-moulded of plastic, and may be used to display vehicle floor mats (102, 104, Fig. 1). |
