<p>A thermal optimization of a solar photovoltaic powered electrolyzer system is provided to increase hydrogen generation efficiency of a PV electrolyzer system by transmitting electrical power produced by a PV array to an electrolyzer and transferring heat from the PV array to the electrolyzer by circulating a first fluid. A process comprises the steps of: transmitting electrical power produced by a PV array(14) to an electrolyzer(16); and transferring heat from the PV array to the electrolyzer by circulating a first fluid. A second fluid is circulated from an insulated second tank(20) to heat the electrolyzer. The fluid is circulated to the PV array from at least one of a first tank(18) which is not insulated and the second insulated tank to cool the PV array.</p> |
