Stanchion for commercial vehicle superstructure

The stanchion has a stanchion unit rotatable in a stanchion pivot bearing (27) and hinged downwards to the bearing. A stanchion holder (28) is fastened above the bearing at a height of a vehicle load area (2) for locking the stanchion unit. A longitudinally moving bar (19) guided into the stanchion unit is locked at the holder. The bar is provided with a wedge (44) that is longitudinally moved against a bevel of the holder. Form fit surfaces (42, 43) are formed at the bar and at the holder and are physically separated from the wedge and the bevel.
