SOLID INK STICK FORMATION WITH FLEXIBLE MOLDING TOOL

An apparatus and a method for forming a solid ink stick using a flexible molding tool are provided to resolve a problem with a geometrical limit of the solid ink stick without additional costs. An apparatus for forming a solid ink stick using a flexible molding tool(100) includes a container(104) and a cover(108). The container has a cavity(110) for containing ink to form the solid ink stick and an opened upside. The cover covers the opened upside of the container to at least partly seal the cavity. The shape of the sealed cavity corresponds to at least a part of the solid ink stick. One of walls of the container and the internal surface of the cover are flexible to easily separate the solid ink stick after molded.
