METHOD OF RECOVERING CYCLOHEXANONE AND CYCLOHEXANOL

A method of efficiently recovering clohexanone and cyclohexanol, in which without the need to add a reaction auxiliary, such as an alkali or a catalyst, even with the use of a small and simple reactor, cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol can be efficiently recovered from a high-boiling-point mixture produced as by-product in the process for producing cyclohexanone through a liquid phase oxidation of cyclohexane by an oxygenous gas. There is provided a method of recovering cyclohexanone and cyclohexanol, characterized in that a high-boiling-point mixture produced as by-product in the process for producing cyclohexanone through a liquid phase oxidation of cyclohexane by an oxygenous gas is decomposed at 320°C or above under a pressure of 12 MPa or higher in the presence of water.
