Disclosed is a device for receiving FM broadcast signals, and an audio player for accepting the FM receiving device. The FM receiving device is in the form of a card and includes an SD/MMC connector which is compatible with an SD/MMC card slot in the audio player. The player is arranged to detect an SD card, an MMC card or an FM receiver card, and a method is provided for supporting the communication between the FM receiving card and the player. According to the type of card that is detected, changeover switches (141, 142) within the player allow pins of the card connector to carry digital signals, or analogue signals from the FM card. The FM receiving card and the player provide improved size and ease of use. |
