PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor having reduced number of parts and reduced cost, and to provide an electric motor having enhanced degrees of freedom in installation. SOLUTION: A motor main part 1 has a yoke 3 and a front bracket 4 which closes the opening end of the yoke 3. The front bracket 4 is made of aluminum alloy and formed into a bottomed cylindrical shape. A brush holder unit 14 holding brushes 17 is contained in the front bracket 4. A motor controller 19, which controls the motor main part 1, comprises an electronic circuit having a communication unit, a control unit, and a driver unit, and mounted on the inner circumferential surface of the front bracket 4. The electronic circuit constituting the motor controller 19 may be mounted on the brush holder unit 14. |
