<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in film thickness uniformity and scratch resistance and a method for manufacturing the film. <P>SOLUTION: A metal oxide layer is formed on a polyester film which contains at least an antimony compound or a germanium compound and also contains at least one compound (content of M mole) selected from compounds containing magnesium, manganese, zinc, calcium, and cobalt and a phosphorus compound (content of P mole) to meet the formula: 0.1≤M/P≤5 directly or through another layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
