<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with which excellent display quality is obtained in relation to the liquid crystal display device used for a display part of an electronic appliance and so on. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is constructed in such a way that it is provided with a TFT substrate 2 and a counter substrate 4 placed opposite to each other, a liquid crystal 6 sealed between both substrates 2, 4, a plurality of pixel regions P each of which is equipped with a reflection region R1 having a reflection electrode 16 formed on the TFT substrate 2 and reflecting light incident from the counter substrate 4 side and a transmission region T1 disposed on the periphery or on an opening part of the reflection electrode 16 and transmitting light incident from the TFT substrate 2 side and CF layers R, G, B formed on the transmission region T1 and extended to a part of the reflection region R1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
