The information device (1) has an audio-visual communication device (2) for retrieving different programs e.g. pop music, by a patient (3) during a treatment. The communication device has a display screen (7), a headset (8) and a program control (9) for the patient. The display screen is integrated in a light fixture (5) for a doctor (6), and the program control is integrated in an armrest (10) of a dentist chair (4) or is formed as a remote control. The doctor can transfer information to the patient using another headset (11) and a microphone (12).
