A method and a device for authenticating a user without any click are provided to minimize hacking probability during a user authentication process, enhance efficiency of resources while preventing hacking during the user authentication process, and enhance hacking prevention ability while reducing cost and implementation/design complexity. A display unit(110) displays a number area of which a position is changed in every user authentication, and a keeping part(120) keeps a mouse cursor in a predetermined number area among the displayed number areas according to predetermined order by using a mouse. A determiner(130) determines whether a time keeping the mouse cursor in the predetermined number area exceeds a reference time. A controller(140) performs user authentication when the mouse keeping time exceeds the reference time. The display unit displays an ID mark guiding that a process for recognizing a predetermined number is processed when the mouse cursor is kept in one of the displayed number areas. The display unit changes a size and/or a shape of a number plate comprising the number areas in every user authentication.
