CASTING MATERIALS FOR PRODUCING SHAPED PARTS FOR SANITARY APPLIANCES

The invention relates to a casting material for producing shaped parts for sanitary appliances, comprising a methyl methacrylate-based syrup and 50-85 % (in relation to the casting material) of an inorganic filler. The aim of the invention is to improve the scratch resistance and resistance to abrasion of the parts produced with this casting material. To this end, the inventive casting material also comprises 5 wt.% to < 20 wt.% (in relation to the mass of the syrup) elastomer particles o r elastomer particle agglomerates with a particle size < 100 .mu.m.
