OFFERING SYSTEM OF CONTENTS AND ADVERTISEMENT OF KEYWORD BASE AND METHOD THEREOF

A system and a method for providing keyword based contents and advertisements are provided to collect contents data and advertisement data based on keywords of EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information and offer the collected data to client terminals. A keyword based contents and advertisement providing system includes a contents providing server(30), a head end(10), and a client terminal(20). The contents providing system collects contents data with respect to keywords of EPG. The head end generates the EPG, extracts keywords from the EPG, provides the keywords to the contents providing server, receives the contents data from the contents providing server, reconfigures the contents data such that the contents data is suited to EPG format, converts the contents data into a broadcasting signal and transmits the broadcasting signal through a broadcasting network. The client terminal decodes the EPG transmitted from the head end, displays the decoded EPG and displays contents data mapped to a keyword of the EPG according to a choice of a client.
