FIELD: heating. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to wood-processing industry and to wood drying technologies, mainly cants or logs. It may be used at wood processing plants and in other industries. Version 1 of wood, mainly cants and logs, drying includes cants and logs heating from inside. For this purpose slots are made along longitudinal axis of cants and logs. Heat source represented as electro-conducting heating element is inserted into each slot. Then slot is filled up with heat-conducting liquid, which does not conduct electrical current, non-hydroscopic and inflammable. The rest of slot is filled up with damp-proof, heat-insulating, heat-resistant and elastic material. Version 2 of wood, mainly cants and logs, drying includes heating from inside. For this purpose, at least one dead hole is made along longitudinal axis of cant or log. Heat source represented as electro-conducting heating element is inserted into each slot. Then slot is filled up with heat-conducting liquid, which does not conduct electrical current, non-hydroscopic and inflammable.
