PURPOSE: A device for measuring roll diameter of tongs is provided to improve quality of rolling product and minimize property loss by preliminary measuring diameter of rolling rolls vertically formed in pairs when setting the rolls according to schedule, thereby checking the preliminary measured diameter of the rolling rolls. CONSTITUTION: The device comprises a housing(110) fixed to center of one surface of fixed frame equipped with tongs for clamping roll in such a way that the housing(110) is arranged downward; an operator(130) installed in such a way that the operator(130) is ascended or descended along the housing(110); a contact rod(140) which is fixed to a lower part of the operator(130) and equipped with a contact ball(144) contacted with the highest point on the outer circumferential surface of the roll fixed and clamped to a lower part of the operator(130); an encoder(150) which is arranged in such a way that the encoder(150) is slidingly contacted with one surface of the operator(130), and which is fixed to the fixed frame; an indicator(200) electrically connected to the encoder(150) to display measured values of the encoder(150); and a reset switch(180) fixed to a lower part of one side surface of the housing(110) to initialize the measured values of the encoder(150) by sensing a sensing plate adhered to the operator(130). |
