A fermentation composition for livestock farming, and a method for producing meat by using the composition are provided to reduce the mortality rate even without using an antibacterial agent and to improve the quality of meat. A fermentation composition for livestock farming comprises an extract of medical herb. Preferably the medical herb comprises Taraxacum Platycarpum H. dahlst, Crataegus pinnatida BGE., Chrysanthemum zawadskii Herbich, Poria cocos Wolf, Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, Rubus chingii Hu., Lonicera japonica THUNB., Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, a jujube, and Glycyrrhizae Radix. Preferably the extract is extracted by using vinegar.
